Hello,
I need a crankshaft for one of our 160's.
I'm not having much (any) luck finding one new or refurbished with the spline nose. If anyone has a source for one I'd much appreciate it as I needed this crank ...yesterday!
Failing that does anyone know if the plain nose (keyed) crankshaft will bolt up okay? I'm thinking it may be possible to modify the pulley that drives the water pump and alternator to work on a keyed shaft if worse comes to worse and a direct drop-in crank can't be found.

I'm no expert but when I searched 3.152 crankshafts on Ebay I came up with a few. Als if they are splined or not. I'm not sure if they are from reputable suppliers, but would be worth the look. Good luck and let us know where you find one.

I just had my crankshaft turned at Jim Minnicks in Charleston WV. They priced me a new one for $499.00 and said that it was the splined nose. Maybe you could give them a call. If you call ask for Butch their number is 1-304-776-2200. Hope that this helps.
