OK, I'm going to change the trans  pump on my 7G B model loader. After many phone calls, I finally have an interchange number for the Eaton/Cessna 2600 series pump. Number 26507 from Spencer Fluid  Power. There is a waiting period for this custom pump, but at 500.00$, the price is right for brand new. I can get by till then with my old pump, and it nice to know this vital piece is still replaceable. BTW, this replaces the old Cessna pump 24386 RAA.

hi Corey
That seems a super good deal to get a new transmission pump.
I was doing some looking around on minnpars site and there price on there parts serch for a HD6E/EP steering pomp; which is alot smaller than a trans pump; was  $2250.
You don,t have any cross reference numbers for the cessna steering pump. AC no 6850861 to a eaton/ cessna replacement ?

I haven't looked into that yet, Merv, but fully intend. If it wasn't for the odd AC shaft dimensions, this would all be easy. The heartening thing I discovered is, you can buy pumps from Eaton almost factory direct. 550$ from them, or 1100$ after middlemen! And that's a 260 series pump, totally current for parts. I don't even want to think about that main shovel pump. That could be a real wolleybugger. For the time being, I'm mounting a belt driven pump (in generator spot...I don't use the generator) to boost the trans pump output at low speed. That'll get me by until my new trans pump arrives in 17 weeks. 1.5-2 horsepower won't hurt anything, if it even uses that much. I'm also going to try to tackle the gutting of my left lift ram. There's a fella in Mo. that I'll send my packings to and he'll match them  up. I just wish I had my tractor at my auto shop instead of a hundred miles away. I'd sleep better at night....

On HD6EP and HD7EP  pump it takes 2 of them to run the clutches right. $2250.00 for each or just one ! I looking for a solution to my pump on the HD6ep I own it has been sitting for 5 years and I started it up and went forward and backwards then stop. All the fluid was check when it was parked and idea if you need to bleed the pump or where the screen is. the fluid level look high on the dip stick if their is too much fluid in the trans case will it lock up the pump! I have no idea what is the problem where can I get a good deal on a pump ?

I their a flex coupler inside the converter on HD6EP that hooks the drive shaft to the trans?
Are they made of rubberr and rot out and how hard is it to replace do you need to pull the motor with the converter ? Do you guy have any photos of you trans rebuild ?

No rubber coupling Jonny. Your hoses must be shot and breaking up internaly. Time to rehose the system. As HD6 Merv has told you, go right back through DoctorCory and Mervs posts for advise on systematically eliminating your problems. They have been through it all.   Mac

I agree, I think I'm going to rehose mine although no leaks, I've heard they can suck air still. Some of em on my machine look like WWII surplus!
