My uncle's (not sure) WD or 45 moving Dad's granary he had just bought back in late 60's. Cousin's 45 at a local tractor drive.
Me and my WD after her paint job and earning it's keep. My Wd before the paint job and my #2 daughter at about 9 years of age.

Lonnie, that is really mean lookin! Ever take it out in muddy ground? Wonder how she would do.
All I got pics of, is the picker and another of the WD and drill.
I am sure i have wore out these pics of the picker.
Found one more, had the WD over to dads moving the grain drills around one day.

Heck no! Its not something you see every day, esp now a days most are packed away under mounds of dust or out rusting in fence rows, if they haven't already been sent to china. I've always been fascinated with them.

Don, I was told if you crank up the torque on the idlers, the front wheels hardly leave a track so you go in some pretty soft areas. Are those Asparagus wheels on your WC?

Lonnie, so your saying you can tighten it up enough, so the front tires are almost off the ground? Man, that sounds like it would be an army tank to me! lol Steer it with the brakes!

That gas 45 sat out doors from April to the end of Dec. Fired on the first spark, backed it up to the side of the garage, reached around pulled the claws open, stept on the snap coupler lever and pulled away from the plow. Man how easy can it get. Never had to get out of my seat. Three point people have to get off and pull pins and yank on there plows. I really enjoy working with the 45s

That's just how Dad painted one of his WDs back in the early or mid 70's. My brother has that WD now and I'd bet it gets that same paint job when he gets around to it.
