D-14 Hydraulic Outlet??

My D-14 has a hyraulic outlet on the back of it but I do not know how to contol it. I don't see any lever or valve attached to the line. Is it controlled by the SC/3pt lift lever??

Its better known as a "transport valve". It is connected to the main circuit and activates with the lift lever. There should be a wheel in the vicinity that can be turned to adjust the flow. In principal, which ever has the less load (lift arms or implement hooked to the transport valve) will lift 1st; when it is lifted flow will be directed to the other circuit.

My D14 gets a lot of use pulling a V rake in the summer, I initially hooked up the rake lift cylinders to the transport valve and the lift arms would raise fully before the rake arms begin to lift. Being an impatient sort of fella, I installed a selector valve between the lift arms and the transport valve and can now direct the hydraulics to either one (but not both). Now when raking hay, I don't have to wait for the lift arms to raise 1st.

On my D15 loader tractor the lift arms raise and stay up without having to wait.

My D14 doesn't have a transport valve. I believe it was an option. Bob

Simply tie the lift arms UP with a rope,wire, strap or whatever and you are ready to go. As soon as you push hyd. lever up,oil is diverted to remote outlet because lift arms are already up. Have been doing it for 48 years on my D-17 ser.3

I was thinking you could put the traction booster lever up into the detent box about 2/3 way up the sector and then run the transport cyl with the lift lever? I'm asking, not saying. I have the transport valve on at least one of my D-14's but have never used it but I think that is what I read in the manual. It was an option. You could also get a couple of different remote valve bodies, a 2 spool or a 3 spool I think.
