| We pull an old rearfold 12/23 Kinze with an 8070PS FWA. We are also on 36" row corn / 18" row beans. Our farms lay fairly flat hear in NC Iowa. I can't say that the 8030 wouldn't, but it would sure know it had a load pulling up hill with a full load of beans. |

| We pulled that model planter with a JD 4450 2wd for several years and got along fine. Horsepower will be similar between the two. We really needed some weight on the rear of the tractor as we were running without fluid in the tires and in certain cases it was a little light. |

My 8030 is a PS, FWA. I am having the injector pump rebuilt and will prob have it increased about 10%, I am going to add duals to the rear and maybe wheel weights. I am running 20.8 38's now. I hate to go to a 8 row b/c still running 6 row corn head, and as far as price it would be cheaper for me to go to 12/23 instead of 8-15 and add a corn head. ------------- (3)G,(2)D15,200,185,8030,8050,R66 |

| I have pulled a Kinze 12/23 with our JD 4440 2wd and now with a JD 7800 2wd on the hills and flat ground we have, you sure can feel it when its full of beans. Some of our hills I can only plant down hill because I don't have enought traction to climb it. Andy |

My brother pulled a White 16/30" this spring and had no issues with power on hilly ground other than down shifting a gear. We did get it stuck a couple of times but it was so wet we didn't even start planting till June 2nd. | I understand how changing equipment can snowball money wise. We traded a few years ago from a R62 with a 6 row head to a R75 with an 8 row and we were planting with a 12/23. That only lasted one year and then we went to a 16/31 in which the 4450 was too small to pull so we had to buy a bigger tractor to pull the planter. By the way I see you have a R75 also which has been a real beast to us compared to the 62's we had through the years. We traded this year for a R76 and couldn't be happier. The Kinze 3600's are great planters and I think the 8030 will definetly handle the load as I would say the Allis is a heavier built machine than the 4450. We had a 2wd 8030 that I would of not been afraid to plant with. |

Our ground is definitely not flat. Some of our corn ground eroded so bad that we are adding none farmable dikes in several spots. As far as pulling 12/23 you should be ok as long as you have enough weight to not spin out. Orange, in the pic you are talking about there is a patch of meadow/low land to the right of the pic that we had to plant around so turning around actually straightens out the field. ------------- HD16,917H,185,7050,8030FWA,8050FWA |

| Scott, we did the same thing, R62,R75, and now R76. It sure is amazing how much bigger the 76 is over the 75. The base machine ran great, but ours has the GPS stearing and it isn't what we thought it would be. Do you have it? |

| Unit3 We had the Agco autosteer on the R75 just for the fact that it was on there when we bought it used. That machine our dealer got in from another dealer in Ohio that had a customer that wanted it to shell corn with, but could never get it to work right. We never honestly messed with it the 2 yrs we had the machine. Should have tried it in beans at least. The R76 is an improvement also, especially the unloading auger. They really sped up the unloading time, plus we no longer have the feeder house plugging issues like we had with those 62.s |
