Over on Facebook their seems to be a rather heated debate about why AGCO got rid of ORANGE.... from what people are saying on there they seem to think that MASSEY is "#1" and has been "#1" for "the last 50 years."     Is there even a trace amount of evidence to support this? I am really curious.

I don't have any evidence but Massey has been #1 for several years. These are world wide numbers. Evidently, Massey is much bigger overseas than it is in the US.

One would think that when AGCO got global rights to Massey the Massey sales must have been way more than the AGCO Orange sales.
I would also say on a global scale Massey probaly has more sales than Allis did.

AGCO will still paint your new tractor orange if ordered special, it's an added option! cost varies as to which tractor they have to paint!

Really?! Well, if that is the case if someone ever did want to get a new AGCO/MF all they would have to do is have someone make them some new decals that say ALLIS-CHALMERS on them and get one of the old badges that were placed on the grille of the 6000, 7000, or 8000 series tractors.

IMHO it would be a good way of showing AGCO what we thought and more than that, it would symbolize where the AC name should be and that is up at the top fighting with the big dogs.

Hell, it would just make me feel good to see a new tractor with the AC name on it eventhough it is not the real thing.

Sorry about my extended ramble/slight rant,
Jeremy

Some of you guys that are good on a computer should touch up a picture of a red MF. Make it orange with Allis decals and send them a e-mail of it once or twice a day for a year or so.Just to agrevate.

Alright, I don't doubt that it is huge overseas and has claimed some glory in the last several years, but what about this about it being at the top for the last 50 years?

That is why AGCO acquired global rights to the Massey name.
They were looking at mega-dollars.

Here is my version of a new Allis-Chalmers tractor.
Looks pretty neat with the A-C emblem on the
hood, IMHO
