So what is the scrap value of a C?
No I am not taking one to the metal man but rather trying to keep one from going.
A local Clist add has one that is in rough shape but fixable. One of those "was running when parked" but now missing a few parts like starter and magneto.
As a side, does anyone know where I could get a magneto and what it would cost? Looking to add to my collection, well I guess that would be start a collection since I only have one now :)
Thanks

Price point of purchase can/will dictate how you will/can procede. "Donor" tractors are needed as we all know, some cannot be restored [ because of economic's/etc]. C's are not the most sought after machines in my opinion, that said, parts are common with others and demand for parts is not great. If you can buy it right [$] and want to add to stable, that's great. If your buying to re-coup [$] parting, beware, you may not break even after all labor/selling/shipping/etc. Using scrap price for unpreped steel around here, value might be $300? Starter and mag may cost you $200? all depends on condition of parts your buying, Used/re-conditioned/new/ etc, Then what other problems exsist?? Is the engine free? Will it need all new tune-up parts, etc, etc.

Around here the scrappers are paying $150/ton if the tires are off; a little less if they have to remove the tires
