This is probably a dumb question but I'm just wondering if anyone knows how allis came up with the names for their models. For example the model u was started in production in 1929 but then they made the model a in 1936. And the wc started production in 1933. So for there letter series how did they decide what to name each model?

I would guess the U came from the United tractor and the UC is Model U Cultivator tractor. W comes after U for the WC? Like my teacher said I before E except after C never made sense so I never questioned it, I guess it works out haha
