I have found a c that a guy has that he wants to sell but it will need some work. tires all around(anyone have used tires for a c?) radiator, engine hasn't ran in 15 years he said but i check oil and it seems so so for the oil that  is in there for 15 years. will need some sheet metal, seat and some odd and ends. Rims seam to be in great shape. and it will need a starter. I'm just wondering if it seem like a good deal for 200 bucks or am I wasting my time?

 Thanks,
Aj

Hard to go wrong for $200, its probly worth that in scrap, however buying all that stuff will add up quickly. The question is how badly do you want to build a tractor.

You'll probably wind up like a lot of us; you'll buy another "parts" tractor for a coupla hunnerd and you'll be well on your way to being an A-C "junkie".  LOL

Too bad you're not on my side of the boarder! I've got a C with good tires/bad rim, unstuck engine/good rad and good starter...

Between the two of us we'd have a GREAT C !!

You are looking at $1,000 in tires and parts if you have to buy new. If you can find used items or another parts tractor you will have less invested. Those parts tractors seem to make the orange fever worse.

I was givin a free C . Just to get it running on decent tires and replacing leaky seals will cost more than it's worth. Grab it and join the rest of us.  It's a hobby with little financial rewards. You can find them complete and restored with 5 to 6 grand invested in  them for 2500 or 3000

Well I think I am going to buy it. Since I'm a rookie at this does anyone have any of the parts that I may need? I'm not looking for perfect, just useable for cheap? I think a want to join the orange club. thanks everybody.
