If you are talking about the one I think you are I always heard it called a diamond logo. The ouside is square and always turned like a diamond. The logo itself is sort of a sunburst. Sunburst is correct. The "sunburst" was used in all the diamond Allis logos pre 1965.

Huh...so that means that all D-19's had the diamond logo then, if the logo changed in 1965?
