What are all if any differences are there? I have an Industrial Diesel with an engine that will need a lot of work and I have access to a 149 CI power unit. With me being out of work right now I'm looking at how to get the tractor up and running sooner rather than later.

Will the engines bolt up? Is there a difference in the flywheel's or torque tube input shafts like a D-17. Or anything else I should be aware of before digging deeper. it's not pretty much a direct bolt up then I'll likely wait for a diesel engine.

I'm not going to spend the time toi look up all the parts, but I'm pretty sure all these are different......radiator...starter......air cleaner.....throttle linkage.....flywheel......possibly the pressure plate........power steering pump and all the lines....radiator fan.....

I agree with the good Dr Allis. Its seems like not good idea to do that. To many issues. Ryan

I was told by a AC parts man that the clutch shaft in the torque tube is different.    Matt
