Its like calling a Cummins engine a Cummings. Cumming is a city in Ga and a small town in Ia...

I thibk they hear someone say it and either they hear them wrong or forget and when they "remember" it it's the wrong name

I once saw an ad for a B with a "sycamore." The poster meant, of course, "sickle mower."

It wasn't on this forum.
