Our 8070 when running is collapsing the upper radiator hose.  System is full and really seems to be working OK, at least not overheating in 95 plus temps bush hogging.  My guess would be the thermostats, but if they were restricting I'd guess it would get hot.  Maybe it is, as when starting the gauge is in the center and needle only moves to the low end of the red, but no higher.  Maybe I have 2 problems?

The upper radiator hose colapsing seems pretty odd since it is the lower is the suction side of the system. I would make sure the cap is the correct one and that it is functioning correctly in every way. A system with pressure  that is built up from engine heat seems unlikely to pull hard enough to suck a hose closed. Last but not least check with a local dealer to see if there is supposed to be a support spring in the upper hose. Maybe it has been left out. I would keep hunting for the cause. RW

No spring but will check a new hose.  We replaced with aftermarket so maybe theirs is different.
