Dad and I are looking at a One-Sixty.  I've been doing some research and have called the local dealer.  I know there were both the basic and standard version.  I believe this one is a basic because it has the 6 speed and only a foot throttle.  Can a hand throttle be made or can parts be found to adapt it over?  I need to check to see if it has power steering.  It looks like it does from the picture.  It seems to be a pretty nice tractor. What are your thoughts and opinions?  I know only 4,000 or so were made.  If we buy it we would probably use it on the grain drill, 4 row corn planter, and to rake hay. Thanks for the help.

The one in the picture definitely has power steering.  I didn't know you could get one without the hand throttle.  Finding parts for them is a bit of an adventure since they don't share many parts with the other tractors in the 100 series.  I've manged to find some stuff on ebay for mine.

double check about the hand throttle, lots of folks just used the foot throttle and they would set up. when you went to use them they would break off. have seen several like that.

Thanks for all the replies.  Today we went and looked at the One-Sixty.  Since we had a clue what to look for we were able to see that the hand throttle was broken off.  It does have power steering and the 10 speed transmission.  After checking it over and test driving it we decided to buy it.  Going to pick it up when dad gets home from Hutchinson.  Thanks again for the help.

You'll like that perkins engine, Dad scrapped out a 160 about 10 years ago. It needed transmission parts that are no longer available. He put the engine in his old Ross forklift. Still starts and runs great.
If you give it tlc it should be a good tractor for you.
Tell your Dad that i am going to Hutch Hope to see him there.
