I have a WD that will lift alright (although fluid leaks badly -- what's new) but my problem is that after using the tractor for awhile, the hydraulic won't drop. The level comes back find but I hear a chattering from the hydraulic area and the arms won't go down. This typically happens when I'm moving big bales around. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the contol rack inside the pump is sticking after it get warm. When it does that, turn the thumbscrew on the front of the pump behind the frame raill ALL the way in, that moves the rack to the not pumping position, start it and see if arms come up. They better not, or it real serious. then unscrew the thumbscrew all the way and see if it works any better. It it still sticks when warm, youll have to take the pump off and clean and reseal it. HTH

Skip, Right on!!! That particular screw was a lifesaver for us when we repaired them. Other than that as Skip says you should take the pump off and give it a good cleaning. From other reports you may have to clean it several times to get it just right. We were told from the factory to keep the items removed in diesel fluid so they would not expand. The tolerances were that close. Let us know how it goes. Good Luck! Bill Long
