i found a block but the man says it is a gas burner . my question is can a perkins block that is a gas burner have the same casting number as my diesel block ? if so can i build said gas burner block into a diesel engine ? sorry if this is a stupid question

If it's out of a Massey tractor/forklift, I suppose it very well could.
