I was wondering if anyone has any experiences with a forty-five Allis road grader that they could share with me; the good, the bad, and the ugly. I went to look at one last night to possibly buy, and I don't know much about them. It's got the Allis motor, and I didn't know they had a blower on them, but looks like it does, and it needs a new pulley on it, because the splines on the inside of it are shot. Also, some vandals broke out all of the glass in the cab. The motor is supposed to run, but not sure how well. It has new drive chains on one side, guess the other side is OK. Tires are typical for an old unit like this; some are fair, others weather checked, but all hold air. It needs new seat. Needs new batteries. The blade looks to be in excellent shape. It looks like it was kept greased well, as a lot of places where a person would expect to find wear, there isn't much. The guy that is selling it, never had it running, but gave me the name and number of the guy who spent most of the time running it for a local city. I am sure that once I get a hold of him, I'll know a lot more. I would really like to buy this thing and save it from the scrappers, but I'm a little leary of biting off more than I can chew. Any thoughts? Thanks, Darrel

Everyone should own a grader , what for I do not know but i have a Adams 411 setting out back i have not used in 15 years. Why ? cant answer that except it looked like a good idea back when i was doing a lot of driveways and small private roads.

I have one model of forty-five motor grader 1:50 scale. I want to sell it because I have already bought a new one that is more durable compared to this one.
