I'm a bit confused. My B is a 1938 by serial number B 3271. The casting numbers on this unit all end in -8 even the engine. From the info that i've seen on casting numbers 1938 castings ended with -10 so if my math is right and Allis followed with there numbering my casting where done in 1936? Am i wrong or miss lead?

I think as Glen would tell you there were none earlier than 1937 which had a suffix of -9. Are you looking at the casting # on the right side behind the governer rod?
