   Were there any factory differences / changes / updates made to the D19 Diesels from 61-64 ?

Some changes were made to the pistons/cam/head starting at engine# d01499 and up. Other than that she stayed pretty much unchanged

There were also some changes in hyd. control valves.    MACK

Nope, Mdae for easier starting with less smoke.. Head casting was also supposed to be less prone to craking

Later D19s had self-canceling spools. Instead of the lever staying the raised or lowered position, they would return to neutral.  The valve stack has smaller levers and round knobs, not the rubber handles.

   Thank's Chad ! You wouldn't know at what serial number they changed the valves, by chance ?
