I'm working on a 2-155 White that needs a rear crank seal Will the engine and over/under unit come out without spliting the tractor?

You might ask Larry Ask the Oliver Mechanic Harsin on http://www.olivertractor.com - www.olivertractor.com .

yes  there is a half inch pipe plug on the right rear of the o/u.  there is a tool to install in the hole to hold the 2 couplers in the o/u when you pull the engine ahead. you will need to turn the engine to line up the holes in the couplers. a phillips  screwdriver works to line up the holes, after finding the first coupler turn the engine backwards to find the small couplers hole. hold the couplers with the engine as you slide it forward.

Yes, you don't split an oliver/white, you pull the engine/over-under as an assembly. once out, take over/under off, and clutch/flywheel etc. Worse part of job is what Dave says above. The idea is to keep the short pto shaft in the over/under while you slide engine ahead off couplers. Good luck, Ed.
