Anybody know where I can get the correct fasteners for the lid on my WD45's battery box? I am missing two of them and can't find any locally.
Also is there somebody on here that makes the snap coupler release lever for the WD45? I found the chain to mine down in the barn, but the lever is nowhere to be found. Thanks for any help.

the battery box should have acorn nuts on it. These are usually available in a hardware store in the trays of boxes of nuts, bolts, electrical parts etc. Bob

My Ace hardware carries acorn nuts.I just use plain old 1/4 in nuts and run em down finger tight. There'll be some one on here that has a lever for sale.

Acorn nuts are the correct ones, and available at most hardwares, however, I prefer wing nuts, also available at local hardware store and far more practical

You may need to go to a True value or similar store instead of the big box stores

I agree with Lou...I prefer the wing nuts. Probably because I always seem to be robbing the battery out of them or they run down,etc....lot easier to take apart! LOL!  Rick

I haven't had the lid off in over eight years and that was to replace a bad battery. I have never had to jump it off since. Its a AC. :)

A little more shallow than original, may have to add a washer under them but thats all I could find. I forgot there is a Fastenal place in town. Ill take the original by there one day. Surely they can get something that looks like the original?
