Looks like another bad one.  Anyone know of any of our "family" effected?  Bad spring for storms.

That was a bad one! Seems like there have been more this year -- or they have just hit more populated areas. Hope our folks are safe and help gets to those that need it.

My wife and boys where shopping in Joplin yesterday. they missed it by only a couple minutes. Thank God for that but my heart goes out to those that were less fortunate. it is bad when whole businesses like home depot were flattened let alone whole housing complexes. Don't think about it as much till something like this is close. Two friends lost their home while another had major damage. I hope we did not have any members go through this.

Darin and family are fine.  His oldest daughter was in the Wal-Mart they keep showing on the news, and though she was trapped under a pile of electronics for awhile, she made it out without any serious injuries.  Her car in the parking lot wasnt so fortunate though.  Joplin was the main shopping area for quite a few miles around here, and many people made long commutes to jobs there.  It will really affect this entire part of the state for a long time to come.

I looked on the map and seen that Darin is located south of the main devastation. i would not be surprised if he got some wind damage and is without power but thankfully it looks like he missed the blunt of the storm. But yes they can still use our prayers.

I had to go to Joplin on business yesterday. Words cannot describe the devastation. We need to pray for the victims and workers in Joplin.

A minister I know was there yesterday as well and said it looks worse then pictures actually show. utter devastation. He was told the death count could double once the search is done. very sobering and sad.
