I found two tractors that I have some questions about.  The first is a WD serial # 127816.  According to my refrences it is a late WD.  It has the 45 style shifter.  My question is the engine doesn't have the bolt on plate by the lifters so has the engine be replaced or were the late WD built this way?  Also what is this worth?  wide front, fair tires,  hasn't been run in years but is free.
The second question involves a 1938 WC.  Engine is free, tires are shot sheet metal is fair.  What is it worth?
I think these tractors have more sentimental value to the owner than cash value but I want to make him a fair offer.

Thanks and sorry for the long rambling!!!!

You are correct. The WD is a late one. WD's got the constant mesh transmission at serial 127007. The engine has been replaced with a later 226cu.in engine. Value varies with supply and demand. Anything over scrap price is fair.
