I have an AC 8030 that has a 6 speed high and low powershift. It just started acting up and drives fine 1st through 5th, but when trying to shift to 6th it will not engage. All linkage looks okay, is there anything internal that is a common problem for this? Any help would be appreciated thanks!

If the return spring on the clutch pedal has broken inside the dash and not allowing the clutch pedal to come all the way up, you can't hit 6th.

Thanks! So by manually pulling up on the pedal can I try and shift it to 6th for troubleshooting that?

Yes   do it in park and sitting still.

I looked at the tractor today and the clutch is definitely coming all the way up. Any other ideas or are we now into internal trans problems?

Look over the linakge behind the batteries and make sure the lever on the valve body is pinched tight to the shaft. Also make sure there's no loose or worn out linkage in the console where your PST lever is. Outside of that, assuming you haven't made any adjustments/changes to anything behind the batteries, remove the valve body and see what's broken on the shift mechanism.

When you say linkage is ok, are you sure it's adjusted properly, if it is out of adjustment one way, it won't detent into 6th gear, since it hits the stops in the cab first, our 7060 did that once.  Open the batteries, watch the tranny end of the cable, and carefully feel the valve body shift lever, have someone shift it, without the motor running, and make sure there is a possitive detect between 5th and 6th.
