Got it all back together and we have charge. I noticed I have some voltage drop. I measured 14.2 on the A term of the generator and 13.8 at the batteries. I've never bothered to check voltage drop on any generator regulator. Is it normal for there to be much drop across the cutout relay? I'm thinking no. I know I have several other connections to check, just thought I'd ask.

There's voltage drop in the regulator/cutout and in the wires. And the battery voltage will rise as its charged, reducing the current.
