I have a 1958 D14 (SN 13572) and I can't locate the transmission drain plug (the manual doesn't show it and there's 50 years worth of dirt and grime making finding the plug difficult).  Can someone either point me in the right area so I can poke around and locate the plug or better yet, post a picture?  Thanks so much.

Parts book shows it to be just in front of the rear axle housing, in the center of the Transmission/differential housing. Bob

Scrape off the dirt and grime, there is a big flat nut under there.

Thanks!  I knew it had to be there!!!  Don't know how I can't find a 1 1/8" bolt head, but I guess that's what 50 years of dirt and grime will do.
