The plate on the side of my WC engine block leaks oil a bit.  I put a new gasket on it, gaskets epoxy, etc... and it still leaks.  The bolts seem to work themselves loose over time as well, so I tighten them as need be.  I hear this is a common problem with the WC, any suggestions?

Some of the leakage is from around the bolts. Copper or fibre washers under the bolt heads seems to help.

On my WC and WD I used Indian Head gasket cement to stick the gasket to the plate, cleaned the side of the block with lacquer thiner, let it dry good, then a thin coating of red high temp RTV around the edge of the block and around the bolt holes.  That seems to have my leak problem taken care of.
