To anyone attending the GOTO in Hutchinson, MN...

I'm looking for someone traveling from Minneapolis to Atlanta that would be willing to transport an item.  The item would fit in a box about 12" x 12" x 54" and weighs around 30 pounds.  I would pay some fuel costs.

Another option would be Minneapolis to southwestern Indiana.  My parents live a few miles south of Vincennnes, IN so that would work also.

If you dont find anything sooner check back with me.  I know dad is going but has not decided if he is driving or flying out.

Scott...I get into SW IN a lot, but don't know if it will fit your time frame.  Should be before GOTO.  I also have trips to Cincinnati, Macon MS and Memphis if you have connections there. So is the item ready now and is it in Hutch or Mpls or??  I am next door to Mpls.  Right now the "Orange" is ready to tear up some soil when weather permits, so most all plans are after planting season....Dale

Dale,
The item is currently located in Arden Hills, MN.  A suburb (I guess) of Minneapolis located on the north side.
Timing isn't a big deal.  Sooner is probably better but it isn't critical.
Thanks for the list of destinations but, of that group, Vincennes, IN would still be the best option for me.

Best regards,

Scott

Why don't you just have it shipped ? That isn't very big or heavy ?

A reasonable question...

The item is a brass floor lamp.  While it isn't fragile or flimsy, shipping it would require more protection than if it were lying in the back of a minivan.  Shipping it would require a robust box.  The item is in Minneapolis; I'm near Atlanta.  The box would have to be constructed in Minneapolis by someone with a shop & tools.  The person that has the lamp in Minneapolis can't do that.  Hiring someone to construct the box, the cost of materials & shipping the thing (the weight of the box would jack the total weight to well over 50 pounds) and now you're starting to get into a bit of coin.

Best regards,

Scott
