Some one I know is in the process of rebuilding a D15 and I noticed something a little different than what I have.  It has just one plug for a remote but 2 lines going into it.  There is a valve at bottom of it.  It apears to be factory as it is painted, but am not familiar with ths remote.  I know that the piece of pipe is not factory but what about the rest?  What is the purpose of 2 line and one outlet?  I have inculded a picture.

Looks like Fac. Transport Valve. It would aid in Raising/Lowering the tailwheel on a plow as you leave/enter furrows.

Its factory mine has it but has a 3 spool control valve that works it.The spool valve has one single and 2 double action spool and a knob to adjust pressure for when you not using an AC clynder to lower pressure so you dont blow the lower pressure clynder.

The reason it has two steel lines, is one is pressure one is return, there is also a hose that goes out of the bottom through the cast housing to the lift arm rams.

I have something very similiar on my D14.  Can the original be replaced with say a Prince control valve so it is a little more useful?

There was a few options for the D-15 which may work on the D-14. In parts book there are at least 4-6 pages of valves, hyd booster's, etc that were available to make it more useable, have not seen these options very often or at all for that matter. I do not know if the Prince CV would work.

Excuse my ignorance, what parts book are you reffering to?

I have the same valve on my one WD45,like said works great on a plow with a tail wheel. Also you can raise the plow and turn the knob to lock the tail wheel up for road transport.

AC/AGCO Parts book, towards the back of book, I was amazed at the optional stuff that was available for these tractors, some of these pieces are rare I'll bet.

The only problem with replacing the current valve with a non-allis valve would be how to contend with the hole in the top of the housing, and plumb the hydro line going into the housing for the lift rams.  I am sure something could be fabbed up, and some gasket goop, so it's possible.
