I rolled the engine around until the timing pin dropped in it's hole, slid the injection pump back just enough for the shaft to turn without turning the pump, rolled the engine one full turn until the pin slipped in, put it all back together, and she fired right up.
Life's pretty good today. D17D runs again, Old Allis News finally made it today, (I think the mailman holds on to it anyway in protest for being in an envelope) the like new copy of C.H. Wendel's "Nebraska Tractor Tests Since 1920" I found on the internet for $50 showed up today. I figure with this much going my way today, better buy a lottery ticket. If we win, big hog roast and everyone's invited...

That sounds like a good idea. I have plenty of yard space to park them.

I'd say Brian you had a phenomenal day! I bet you are like me and wish they came more often? But we are so thankful when we get days like that!

Some days things just go well -- I always look forward to those days when the day isn't going so well -- LOL.
