I have a friend building a 45 diesel. The block is cracked between cylinders  at the top where counterbores are. Is this a problem on the Buda block? No cracks at bottom visable. Any Help appreciated. Thanks Tracy Martin

I don't know many diesel engines, that get used, that don't have those cracks, many on here had said you will be fine.

you show me 10 230 blocks qand i will show you 8-9 of them that are cracked inter cylinder, usually between 4-5-6 jugs.as long AS THEY ARE NOT CHUNKED OUT  BETWEEN THE OIL  PASSAGES AND THE WATER JACKET they are good to go.the head gasket will seal the intercylinder cracks
