Do the 616-620 AC tractors with Onan engines use the same starters. I have one I think has died. Looks like a fun thing to replace also. Probably as easy to pull the engine. Any tips in swapping it out? Thanks Tracy Martin

you do have to pull the engine to get at starter.

Tracy, starters are basically the same...may be a different mounting bracket.  As was said...you will have to pull the motor to change.  The main thing we have found, dry fire the starter before re installing the engine.  There is enough play in the mounting holes to cause noises in starting that indicates things are not good.  Hard to describe but you will know it when you hear it binding up on start up.  Den
