Can't be a 42 as Gs started in 1948.

Nice looking G.  However, as Ted says they were not made for another 6 years.
Funny how a lot do not have the rear furring bar.  We NEVER sold one without it.
Good Luck!

Going to go look at it?  I'd be curious what the serial number is.   Closer then most but too many $.

The first time I read it I didn't even notice the "Alice Charmers". I guess its just not unusual any more to see the bad spelling.

Most times the wrong spelling is caused by spell check

If he writes back with some level of question or understanding I probably will, it can't be more than 10 miles from me, but if he ignores me or is a jerk, I won't bother.

Are you interested, I bet he would budge on the price, there just aren't many uses for a G down here, maybe further south in vegetable country.

Probably a good name for a 'G', "Alice Charmer": they do seem to charm the ladies! One of the few tractors that do!

Orange, The renter of my folks place is looking for another G so she doesn't have to change implements so much.  I'll pass it along to her.  Also, some friends just south of the Springs on 85 might be interested.  I'd think it's worth closer to $3,500 if it runs good.  Wondering how the seller came up with all the bogus info.

Abb, I'm jealous of you being young - lots of time to make all the mistakes I've made over the years!  Don't hold your breath on the will part. LOL

I will be happy to go look at it for you, and get some more pictures, I can pretend to be a different guy then the one asking all the year/rare/s/n questions. :-)

Yeah, a lot more rare than the more popular ALICE CHAMBERS tractors that are sometimes listed on C'List.

I once heard some idiot talking about "Alice Chambers" tractors and how she was actually "a cousin of John Deere".  What made it so funny was that he was Serious!

Orange, if you have time and interest, it would be great if you can go look at it.  Anne is interested at a lower price.
