Need a little informatin AC G. Were the fenders the same size on the 1952 model as the 1948 model? Did any G's have the battery mounted on the back of the engine cover on brackets? This would move the battery from the right lower side out of the way from the back lift. Have two g's and one parts G. Thank you.

As far as I know, all the fenders were the same throughout the years. Same with the battery location. There were some narrow G's built, I think aftermarket, with some changes also a few aftermarket highboys.

If your battery box needs any repair, etc, suggest revising it so the battery can be accessible from the front. Too many right side fenders have been hacked off to provide access/removal of battery. Herb

Many years ago someone from California posted on here about having a narrow G, 3' I think. Thought it might have been used in a chicken operation.

Used to be a lot of narrow Gs near me. They grow a lot of green beans for the canneries here. They used to be all pole beans and used the narrow gs to cultivate between the rows of pole beans.

Thanks to all for the info, back to the shop for a fender and battery removel. Now the next in the series of making the g look good. Noticed that when you put this on in gear and let out the clutch you have to press down the left brake lever to move. You have to keep this down to keep moving, let it up and it stops. This does not happen on the 48 I have, just on this 52. Did they have a auto trans, or was this a dead man switch? Seams a little strange.

Very strange. The two break pedals and the clutch pedal all mount on the same shaft. Perhaps that has something to do with your problem.

Something isn't right there. You're lucky you have 2 to compare.
I would be in trouble if that happened on mine...my feet are so big I can't press down on the left brake lever by itself.
