what kind of oil is best used for the power steering in a series 2 d17 thanks

my book says to use a 20w oil, but I use hydraulic oil like AW32

I use automatic transmission fluid in mine.  Works better in cold weather.

 what color is your oil?????  gren or red  tells you what is in it reg or trans fluid

its black which tells me it hasnt been replaced in forever

  would drain an install new hyd.oil  like ammco1000
