My 220 has a pressure relief for setting hyd pressure.I assume your ser 4 is similar since it has the external gear pump.If set too high....you can split the pump housing. The relief is up at the valve stack on my 220.Better get a guage and see what's going on before your looking for a pump.

sounds like the relief valve stuck, switch the draft control relief valve with the main relief (thats the two identical valves that have the round acorn nut on the end - one faces front and the other faces the rear - unscrew the entire valve and swap - valves located on each end of the valve stack behind your right elbow under the flat sheet metal - accesable without removing any sheet metal.) Then test to see if you still have the pump loading. If not take the offending valve apart on a clean area and surface and replace the oring and find the stuck parts - this is a double stage relief valve designed to dump large volumes without damaging systems. The traction booster or draft relief is the one on top of the spool that has no yoke or pin in it. Actuated by the finger of the draft linkage.
