I just acquired some unusual knife bars which may or may not be Allis-Chalmers.
They were shipped from an Allis-Chalmers distributer in Liverpool, NY and the knives have the same dimensions and hole spacings as Allis.
The larger one measures 74" long overall and the shorter one measures 60" overall.
The longer one has 21 knives and the shorter one has 17 knives.
Both bars have a 2" long 3/4" dia. pin which is located 8-1/2" from the power end of the bar.
The longer bar extends past the last knife by 2".
The box in which the longer one was packed is numbered 532090 and the shorter one 522601.
All knives are of the serrated type.
Are they of any use to any of you or should I just dismantle them for the knives?
There are no identifying numbers or logos on either the knives or the bars.
Anyone know what they are?
Thanks

I have one of  these too. I was told that it was for a 40 combine but i found out that they are for a folage harvester. Folage harvesters are they only thing i found that uses a head like these.   Matt

Thanks Matt; probably not that many guys out there with old forage harvesters looking for new knife bars.........
I'll wait a few days and if there is no interest in them, I'll just salvage the nice new knives.

I agree - sickle sections appear in the pics to be too long/deep to be correct for any All-Crop combine.  Mike

Mike,
You are right, they are the common knives used on most A-C sickle bar mowers.
