Did Allis or F+H ever make 16" round spoke wheels for a WC, or just the 17" wheels????

Dont know years of productions but they did use16 inch and 17 inch F&H round spokes on WCs. Have had many sets of each over the years also there are the front steels that got cut down and had what ever wheel welded back on.

Parts book for the WC tractor shows 17" spoke wheels used on the WC tractor prior to serial number WC 23529. After that serial number the book shows 16" solid wheels. These went from 6 bolt to 5 bolt at serial number WC59628.

I have seen 16" F&H on WC's as well. The hub is the same as on 17".

So, they went from steel spokes, to 17" spoked rubber, to 6 bolt 16" solid rims, to 5 bolt 16" solid rims? Is that correct? I just picked up a set of spoke fronts that have 16" rims on them, so I believe they are steel cutoff wheels. I am looking for the bolt on endcaps if anyone has a set.

Chuck, It's pretty easy to tell if the 16 inch rim is original to the hub. When F&H made them, the spokes were "riveted" to the hub and rim. If the rims have been replaced, you can see they have been welded. I think many of the round spoked front wheels have had 16 rims welded on because tires were easier to find.

All the 16" WC spokes I have persoanlly looked at were cut offs. As Charlie said look where the rim meets the spokes, see a weld? It aint factory. Too bad as I think the 16" cutoffs look very nice on them.

I have seen factory round spoke wheels that would have fit a WC, but I don't know who they were originally built for., maybe IHC?

If anyone has a set of 16" F&H round spokes or a good looking set of cut-downs for a WC for sale, please let me know. Mine still has the 17" round spokes, but they need repaired, and there's nothing but motorcycle tires or temporary car spare tires that will fit. I can't imagine those looking too good on a tractor...
