I watched those guys pass up stuff I thought would have great resale in the backround, but I guess its what ever market you are targeting.

Yep, seen that, last week they were at an interesting place with a lot of old farm equipment also.  I saw a one row pull type A-C picker, and I believe there was an all-crop there also.

I saw the 1 row Allis picker episode. That guy had A LOT of stuff in his sheds.

Was that the episode where they really ticked off the 90+ year old man by leaving him outside while they dug around his shed for almost 2 hours?

Tough to fit that high-crop in the van and they were in California.  Not their market either.

yea, i seen it the other night, had a couple of fords tractors, they could of had a good deal on them because that lady , in the back of her mind, had no idea what she was going to do with them, they pass up a lot of farm equipment, if they only knew what stuff would bring and how bad people wanted it they would probably start buying it. if any of you don't know what american pickers is this is what they do

I work with a consultant in the grain elevator business who is a part time picker. I asked him today if he is going to star in the Canadian version of the show. He said they filmed an episode at his buddys place and its all a BS setup for TV. They hid an item and then set up the big lights and film the pickers making the 'discovery'. It makes good TV and there are some neat items.

Sometimes I wish they would save the tractors sitting in fence rows just as much as the oil cans. Guess you can't put an allis on a shelf though...
