Well,
I finally broke down and ordered a HobbyAir system with 80' of hose and the full hood (plus some lens protectors).  Came to about $518.  I figure that is cheap insurance as I have 4 tractors lined up for customers and a few tractors/implements for myself.  Also have a few statues coming in to paint as well (nice to have a change up once in a while), I just finished two statues and will have to post pictures soon.  For those that have the full hood system (no respirator underneath), how do you like this system.  From what I gather the line comes in the back (which will keep it out of the way), and since I often have a beard I will be able to paint with out shaving it off now.  Also understand that due to having positive pressure the full hoods are safer that respirators.
Feel free to post opinions.
Adam

I used mine this past Saturday for the first time.  It's sometimes hard to keep from tripping on the air supply hose as I was crawling all around the parts I was spraying but it worked so well that I'll never go back to a respirator.  Using a respirator with glasses was a real pain as my glasses would fog up.  Not so with the hood as I had plenty of nice cool air blowing down in front of my face.  I never got any wiff of anything but fresh air the whole time I used it.  I have 50 feet of hose and that worked out good.

Here's the one I purchased.  I think it was just over $400 with shipping along with the extra hose.

Here is a question for whomever.  Where do you install the air pump?  My shop is an old laundromat (before that is was an old DX gas station)  I have a small room at the back that I use that is seperated by 2x4 walls from the rest (but not all that tight air wise).  Do I install the pump in the other part of the building, or build a little room for it outside in clean air, but away from fumes.
Thanks
Adam

By the way the title is supposed to say "broke down" not "borke down"  LOL

I recently just bought a compressed air system with 3 filters,regulator/belt ,hood .Very happy with it cost about $750 total, came from the UK.Was going to buy the turbine, hobby air system but that would have limeted me just to painting in the workshop only where there is a power point. This way I can take my compressor (engine driven 20cfm) which is always on my ute and paint anywhere I like, plus you only have one line to drag behind you.

i just set it up in the shop outside
the paint room and run 1 1/2 abs
supplies line from out door it can
get to cold in the winter time .
i replace the line going to the face
mask with a smaller one and left
about 6 ft of hose and tape the
rest to my air supplies  line that
way i only had one line to pull
around  over my painted stuff
