I read here a while back about needle scalers which I had never seen before. It sounded like something I should try so I headed down to Harbor Freight and got one. That is an amazing tool! If you are going to restore equipment you should not be without one. The "concrete" grease that accumulates after 50 years comes right off with this tool and is ready for final clean and primer in a flash.

Yup needle guns are awsome I use them all the time. I'm sure you know but just in case you don't becareful inhaling the dust they produce as most older equipment was painted with lead based paints.

Yes their a great tool to clean with. We use one to remove paint from cracks and such before welding also. Another one of those tools that you wish you had bought a long time ago after using it!

When you buy one, invest in a couple of the replacement needle sets. I find that they are not available when the first set runs out. Kind of like Sears Craftsman 18v batteries.
