Hi, I have a WD and the hand clutch handle has a lot more free travel than  I'm used to on my 45. It makes a nice snap when it releases and doesn't seem to slip, it's just that the handle is out comfortable reach to re-engage and adjusting the linkage so I can reach it puts the lever at my hip when engaged. Any ideas? Thank you, Jim

you may want to remove the inspection plate to be sure all of your plates are there. on my wd45 it's under the main battary. i shound warn you to drain the oil first. the plug is on the bottem of the pto housing. also check all linkage shafts for wear/play as something may need replacemet.

The brass yoke or steel collar can wear or the setscrew holding the shift fork to the shaft can come loose.   Take the battery box off, take the cover under the battery box off, move the lever-should be able to see whats worn/loose.
