The orange police are on their way, Fred. They'll go lighter on you for admitting your guilt. Get out your VISA card, you're gonna get some kind of fine!

I own a 1941 Farmall M. It has a fast road gear & squeaking brakes. Good memories. The W-4 or W-9 look like a low profile M. Great looking tractor, whatever the color!

I like those W9's. Was the W9 the competition for Allis' WF? The front ends look similar, althought the W9 in the pic looks a tic larger than the WF...

W4 would have been the rival to the WF. An A would be more inline with a W9. ------------- Randy Freshour,Member Indiana AC Partners, http://www.rumelyallis.com" rel="nofollow - http://www.rumelyallis.com

I guess my take is at least they're not MF or JD... Wait, I can be ok with JD having grown up in Waterloo. MF? Nope. Just don't like em.

Fred, you pay the fine to yourself to make sure you always have money coming in. LOL... If its an old tractor then it is a good thing to own.

This old critter would have been the competitor to the Model A, although the W9 was in production during the last two years of the Model A.

Don't worry, I have a ford beside my allis right now. I own red too. There's a W something over the hill from me that I'm looking at. From the size I'm guessing it's a 9. With any luck, it'll be a WD-9 or even a super. I'll be out a lot of cash but I like the farmall diesels.
