A month ago I bought my first Allis, a D17 diesel that had the Buda engine out of a combine. One problem though. It has no pump hooked up to the power steering. I bought a book on it but it was a little veg. I know the original mounted up on the back of the generator, but figured I could mount anything similar to the belt and make it work for I am more concerned about functionality then originality for I figure the original pump and generator would be more then I could afford.  My question is, does anyone have a good picture of the original pump so I can get a eye as to the size? Really I don't see how it worked with the pump higher then the breather vent or am I missing something there to? Any info appreciated. Mark

I thought about putting a Chevy power steering pump on it until I realized the front end is it's own reservoir. But again I cant see how this works or I am missing something on my vent plug.
