People are complaing about the off colored tractor posts on the tractor Board so lets see how many of you visit the "Shops, Barns, Varmints, and Trucks" Board? My point is if alot of us visit the "Shops, Barns, Varmints, and Trucks" Board we all can post our off colored stuff on that Board! I visit it almost as much as I visit the tractor Board!

I know i have never been on it. People will complain about something no matter what. If you ask me, i think all old equipment is neat, it dont matter what color is it, even all the new equipment is neat. If the title doesnt pertain to you, just ignore it, because I'm sure alot of other people enjoy looking at it. There will always be complainers.

Yep, some folks would complain if they were hung with a new rope. I like pretty much all old tractors except anything Massey and/or Ferguson. 9,2,and 8N Fords are not much better.

I'm a regular visitor to the Shops, Barns, Varmints section, even occasionally check in on the Politics!!LOL. That's one of the things I like about this site is that usually one can post a pic or comment about another color without everyone getting anal about it or having the post deleted. A lot more open minds on this site.

I think people ask questions about "off color tractors" here because alot of the other forums are dead or dying it seems. I mean what does it really hurt?
I've never even clicked on the shops barns and varmits part of this site.

I am like most, I enjoy most all old equipment. Like someone said, doesn't matter to me, but at the same time we see some classiffied stuff here as well.
I don't get on the political site but do hit all of the other links.

I visit them all. I don't mind seeing the others "sometimes" but as long as people know that IH sucks as bad as deere, if not worse. I would feel better about it.

I think you paint MF unfairly. Not ALL MF were as useless as the Ford 9, 2, and 8 N. By the 60s the MF135 does all the tasks the early MF and Fords wished they could do by having more horsepower and weight and has a quality of finish AC avoided.

I didn't say they were "useless", I just don't like them. Kinda like I prefer a Chevy truck, Fords are ok too, but I don't like Dodges. They have a really good diesel (Cummins), just don't like the stying, although they have improved in that dept in the last year or two.

I always read the list of forums as Allis Chalmers 1- farm equipment 2- construction and other equipment 3- shows and events All 3 are listed under Allis Chalmers. Then you have Other Topics I consider green and red or gray and blue as Other topics. I don't mean to be anal about it but if the off color stuff was on the Shops barns and Varmints(Red or Green) page it might slow down the turn over of the Farm equipment page. In any event, this forum is still the best online source for just about any question an old dirt farmer might have, even if he never farmed dirt but only dreams about it. Charlie

I seems to visit all the parts of the site and seem to post in most parts, well shows and for sale I visit every so often but not much change in these and since i am not buying anything now ?
Tractors are what his part of site is about , please do not pollute the shop barn and other with tractor posts .. If you are such a purest on tractors you cant appreciate another's love of all tractors .. Complain all one wants , for I probably will see someones complaint sometime and post a whole lot of information on it on other tractors... LOL

Complaining about "off-color" tractors is a trait I tend to associate with "JD types".
The long time Allis community has always been a lot more civil and understanding with one another, our hero is not "Mr. Thinker".............

Yes, the farm equipment section is primarily about allis. I would think if you polled those on this site, many own tractors of various colors, and have questions, problems issues with those as well. This is an orange site, if people don't have orange, they probably won't come here to post questions on the other colors. Those orange owners with questions can find help from their orange family here on the other items without ever having to leave. That is what makes this such a good site.

If I have a general question about an off color, I'd probably take it here or find out myself first. If it's technical, I'd go to another color specific forum. I don't care too much for the other forums. Some are too strict about topics and one made me feel dumb with all the criticizing posts....with that said, I enjoy it here, no matter what the post subject is (unless its spam)

And its called unofficialallischalmers forum for a reason also. You know you all sound like a bunch of politicians trying to justify why you do something. Its why alot of people dont come on here anymore. Yea there are alot of boards dead. But everyone complains if its political,or something not pertaining to farming,so now we have different areas to visit. I would think people would'nt be dumb enough to not figure out this is for AC stuff, I know there are occasians when things tend to go off of the path a little. But when you open up a post on this site talking about tractors, and there are more other colors then orange its pretty stupid in my opinion

So heres a thought. If people are getting upset because theres a red tractor picture next to a orange tractor picture why not maybe ask admin to create a "off color tractor" section?
Now, before there is whining and name calling because of this idea, theres a shops, barns and varmint section and a political section. Niether of which have anything to do with allis chalmers so why not another section so that the members on here that may or may not own other tractors can ask questions?

Hey now, red isn't all that bad is it? LOL! I think every brand had a model that was made on a Monday or Friday. Guess thats why I have a one green, 2 orange, and 3 red ones.
Accually I visit Red Power more often. Guess usually not to much off color stuff is brought up there. If it is usually it is posted "off topic" or "wrong color". Most of the time everybody gets along. As you guys say, spring is comming. I do like how you guys have some things different than RP. Personally I enjoy discussing politics. Haven't checked out your section much. Like they say @ RP, think of yourself in your best friends kitchen when discussing somethin. I wish RP would have classified ads, and politics.
You guys do have a great site. I think if you get something to narrow based (I.E. just one or two topics) you will lose traffic. Thats how things die.

I will say though, if I have an orange question I come here. Common interest group, more knowledge about Allis, best chance for an answer. If its red I go to RP. Heven for bid if I have a green ?. I think you have to pay Mr. Thinker to be able to post there.
