This is Don(MI)'s tractor but I think the unstyled wc is one of the best looking tractors there is! And Don's tractor is a Very Very good looking tractor! I guess the wc isn't the meanest tractor but it is a Best Looking!

That's why familes had so many kids back then, it took a whole herd just to plow the field, look at all those levers. :)  And you think you were moving up in the world when you bought a "4" bottom plow?!  :D

No picture. Someone took a 600 Case and put some big 38  inch  tires on the back and then some 20 inch traction type on the front to make it look like a FWA. They were pulling a 2 row silage chopper with wagon behind.  Looked meaner in action than sitting still.

Them Olivers look mean just sitting still.

If  you want other colors on here,go to some other site. I know I might sound like a jerk, but come on,everyone gripes if it isnt tractor related, now its other tractors, before long there is going to be nothing left.

Not a production tractor, but I believe one of the largest 2wd tractors ever built. A little sleek, but probably fits the mean category. I've liked the Steigers since I toured the (then new) tractor assembly line in West Fargo, MN in the 70's.

Its a tough one thought Calvins D-21 was a winner, then the 4W-305 came up, but there is something about a 220 with duals still in its work clothes like Jordans, if only the tires matched up better. Don't know which I could call a winner but I think I got a top three.

I have seen and enjoyed all of the Allis Chalmers pics and the off color stuff as well, but --- for all of you that still think the D21, HD41, 4W305, 220FWA, and the 8095 are the meanest, may I remind you that the 7080 and only the 7080 was ever seen pulling a mile or less of Union Pacific railcars. From its maassive 4" axles to its larger than life 670HI engine, the meanest looking tractor was and will always be the 7080.

Moving railcars isn't that hard. Actually a couple of guys can push a 180k lbs car or two without too much effort (stopping them on the other hand takes a wedge between the wheel and railroad rail).

You hit that one on the head, kind of the whole reason of steel wheels on steel rails, low friction.
