I want to put a 7060 front end on a 7000 with a loader .  Can I do so by sliding out pivot shaft and putting that heavier axle in I know frame width wont match that is why I leave big bolster in place on frame rails and slide big shaft forward any body try this ? John

John i think the pivot pin on a 7000 is smaller then tha 7060's may have to get some bushings to make up the differance Niel

One thing I noticed on my 7000 with a HD front end is that the steering cylinder shaft is much smaller in diameter than a 7030 I saw in a salvage yard once.  I'm not sure if this is a maroon belly/black belly change or if the bigger 7000 series got different steering cylinders.  If this is the case, it could steer kind of funny if the steering motors were different to account for the different fluid volumes when steering in each direction.
