I looked at a Allis One Ninety today and was wondering if you guys out there could help me on a price. I amagine it is junk or junk in my book. It has been parked for at least five years. The motor will not turn over by hand which is a diesel, and it won't shift into low. It does have a cab on it and duals for it. the back tires look good and it has a after market bale lift on the front. Someone stole the front grill but other then that it looks complete even the air conditioner. My question is what it would be worth as a parts tractor for it looks like a lot of work to fix? We kicked around the junk price of it which would be about $600.00, but don't know if this would buy it. Thought about offering 1000.00 which I know would buy it. Would this be a good buy or not? Any response would be appreciated. Mark

I have seen 190xt's selling for anywhere between 4 grand and 7500, so no matter how bad it is, if you are looking to only part it out, 2K would still make you money, the diesel motor should still turn over by hand, a good strong grip on the fan, and a squeeze of the belt will turn it over with good bad or medium compression.  If it won't turn, it's either a brand new rebuild with zero run time or, it is seized, I would bet the latter.  Hope this helps

I tried with all my might to turn it over but to no avail. But I just thought it might have been in gear though. The back tires looked very good though which would be worth something. Just don't know for it is a job I know to part one out. But it looked cheep to me.

Just because you can't get it in first gear with with a "dead" engine, doesn't mean a thing. Gear lugs have to lineup with the couplings to be able to engage.

I would say offer $1000, and if that doesn't do it, maybe 1500-2000, especially if it is a factory cab with A/C.

I'm sorry if I didn't make my post clear. The transmision does shift but stiff from setting. It was the high and low that did not shift right. It would shift into high but not into low. But again could have been stiff from setting.
