My father used to have an RC. He left it at our old farm when we moved back in about 1976. It wasn't running at the time and must have been beat up. I was only about 5-6 years old at the time so I didn't put up a fight.  Has anyone put a CA, or D-series engine, D10-D15 in an RC?

Anyone have pictures of the motor mounts and flywheel for the RC? Can an RC engine be bolted into a WD making an RD?

I have a 1939, serial no. 677. It was restored several years ago but I don't have a digital picture handy to post. Sure would like to find one with a serial no. one below or above mine :>) Bob@allisdowneast

I would think it would bolt right up since the tranny in the RC is a WC and the WC and WD bolts up the same, question would be the clutch assembly to the WD tranny?

I have put a 149 C.I. engine (D14) in an RC, just a little trimming of the frame to allow the hydraulic pump casting of the engine to clear, would also allow installing a hydraulic system on a RC. Used the RC radiator.
You could also put in a 160 c.i. (D15), both 149 and 160 will bolt right in, and front mounting holes will have to be enlarged.  Make sure you have good brakes.

I'm sure someone has converted them to a WC/WD wide front but I'm pretty sure they only left the factory with a narrow front.

Lonnie, here's an A-C sheet that indicates a couple of wide front tire/axle combinations, and a single front option for the RC, although I don't ever remember seeing any of them.
