My old WD45 has never been rebuilt since it was new and often cold fouls a plug or two upon first start up, especially if it has been sitting a few weeks. Im sure that the compression is low in those fouling cylinders, but I dont really want to know if you know what I mean. Is there a plug of certain length or heat range that can help with this? I started it up last week to put the plow on to plow the garden and it did it again. Always happens when it is stone cold and never when it is hot. I need to weld new points on the plow this weekend. Thought I would put all new plugs in it, too. Any recommendations ? Thanks! Here's hoping for some dry weather!

I had a similar problem with the CA after it sat in the shed for 10 years. I just went to the next hotter plug and never had the problem again.

What plugs are you using now?  Champions?? That could be the problem.  Use Autolite 295 plugs and you should experience much less fouling.

I use AC-Delco R45S plugs in mine. Dads did that all the time we put "non-foulers" in it. It says on the package not to use them in over half of the cylinders. They fixed the ones that were fouling and the other 2 kept doing it so we put them on all cylinders and it runs fine.

if you run the 3/8 reach plug you essentially  have a anti fouler already
look at the pictures plug hole.
